The generators on this site deal in words. These deal in everything around the words — getting them onto a screen in time with a song, onto a page a guitarist can read at a glance, into a file a video editor will accept, or into a split sheet everybody signs before an argument starts. Different job, same principle: small, specific, and free.
Every tool here runs in your browser. There is no upload step, no account and no queue — the file you load is read off your own disk, the work happens in the page, and the result comes back as a plain file you own: .lrc, .srt, .pdf, .png, .txt. Nothing proprietary, nothing that stops working if you stop visiting.
I am building these in the order people ask for them, so a few of the cards below are still marked soon and do not go anywhere yet. The ones marked live work now. If you need one of the others, tell me which — that is genuinely how the order gets decided.
Timing & caption files
For the moment the words have to line up with something — a song, a video, a screen at the back of a room.
Formatting & printable output
Turning a block of text into something you can hand to a person, project on a wall, or stick on a music stand.
Craft & editing
The fussy, technical part of writing that comes after the draft exists.
Practice & memory
For learning the words well enough that you can stop looking at them.
Business & legal odds and ends
The paperwork nobody warns you about until the song is finished.
Teaching & narrower uses
Smaller audiences, but they are the ones who write and tell me when something is broken.
How all of these behave
Five things that are true of every tool on this page, including the ones I have not built yet.
- Nothing is uploaded. Audio, lyrics and files are read by your browser and processed there. There is no server-side step to leak anything from.
- There is no save button, because there is no account. That also means no autosave — export your result before you close the tab, or you will be doing it again.
- You bring the material. SongTextAI is not a lyrics database and none of these tools fetches, stores or reproduces existing song lyrics. You paste what you are allowed to paste.
- The output is a plain file in a format other programs already understand. No exports that only work inside this website.
- Nothing here imitates a named artist. These are formatting, timing and paperwork tools; they do not generate style or voice, and they are not a back door to one.
Some of the cards above are labelled soon and currently link nowhere. I would rather show you the whole plan than pretend the finished set is bigger than it is.
These are tools, not advice. A split sheet is a useful record, not a contract; a royalty estimate is arithmetic on assumptions, not a prediction. For anything with money or rights attached, talk to a professional.
Common questions
Do these cost anything?
No. No account, no email, no trial, no export limit. They run in the browser and there is nothing to meter. If that ever changes for one of them, the change will be written on that tool’s own page rather than buried in a terms update.
Is my work really not uploaded?
Really. Your audio is read through a local blob URL and played by your own browser; your lyrics stay in a textarea; the exported file is generated on your machine. The site still runs analytics and cookies like any other site — those are described in the privacy policy — but your song and your words are not part of them.
Why do some links do nothing?
Because that tool is not built yet. I am publishing the plan so it is visible, and building in the order people ask. If one of them is the thing you actually need, say so and it moves up the list.
Which one should I try first?
The LRC Lyric Timing Editor. It is the one with the widest use — karaoke, lyric videos, subtitles, projection — and it is the one where doing it by hand hurts the most. If your destination is a phone rather than a screen, start with the Short-Video Caption Splitter instead; the two hand off to each other.
Do I need to read music or know theory?
No. None of these ask you to. Where music comes in, it comes in as numbers you already have — tempo, key, how many lines — rather than as notation.
Can I use what a tool produces commercially?
The files are yours. What you put into them has to be yours too: do not paste copyrighted lyrics you do not have permission to use, and note that purely AI-generated text sits outside copyright protection in most places. The disclaimer page covers this properly.
